If you want great schools, golf, shopping, restaurants and the beach all nearby, you should look into the five neighborhoods that comprise the
Gulf Gate community here in Sarasota Florida. Gulf Gate, just 15 mintues from downtown Sarasota and a short bike ride to Siesta Key Beach, is clearly one of the most popular Sarasota neighborhoods.
The semi-private Gulf Gate Golf Club, located in the heart of the neighborhood includes both an 18-hole course and an Executive 9-hole course.
The 18-hole "Red" course is 2,579 yards long with a par of 57, while the 9-hole "Blue" course at 1,220 yards has a par of 29. As the course weaves through the neighborhood with fairly narrow
fairways, the requirement for accurate shot placements makes most courses challenging.
Gulf Gate residents enjoy quiet streets lined with native oak trees and wide sidewalks weaving throughout the five neighborhoods. Gulf Gate is, in fact, one of the most affordable neighborhoods so close to the Siesta Key Beach.
Go to the southwest corner of the neighborhoods and you'll find Gulf Gate Village, a unique shopping area with an eclectic mix of little galleries, crafts stores, informal restaurants and gourmet specialty shops.
The five neighborhoods that comprise the area include Gulf Gate, Gulf Gate East, Gulf Gate Manor, Gulf Gate Pines and Gulf Gate Woods comprised mostly of somewhat older ranch-style homes. Gulf Gate is known for pride of ownership demonstrated by the residents.
Home prices vary by neighborhood but homes are available starting in the $175,000 - $200,000 to more expensive, larger homes in the Gulf Gate Woods section. This is one of the most affordable neighborhoods in Sarasota.
Come experience the paradise at that Sarasota Florida and find your new home among those in Gulf gate or any of the several other attractive single family home communities reviewed on this website.
I would be delighted to show you homes in any and all of them.
